Capillary Flow/Gas-liquid Porometry is the most common method for characterizing the pore size of fabric/textile media . Bubble Point is based on the fact that liquid is held in the pores of the test media. Using Capillary Flow Porometry, the simple principle of gas pressure to force a wetting liquid out of through pores in a fabric media. The pressure at which pores empty is inversely proportional to the pore size, larger pores require a lower pressure than do smaller pores. The resulting volumetric flow of gas through emptied pores is also measured. Pore size is then calculated using the “Young-Laplace equation.”

FAQ's
1 - WHAT IS A MICROPORE ANALYZER?−
Micropore Analyzer, also known as a Pore Size Analyzer or Capillary Flow Porometer, is a scientific laboratory device used to determine the Bubble Point (absolute micron size), Mean Pore (nominal micron rating), and full pore size distribution properties of various textile materials. It is commonly employed in various fields such as technical textile, protective textile, woven/nonwovens, coated/laminated fabrics etc.
2 - HOW DOES MICROPORE ANALYZER WORK?+
Micropore Analyzer instrument works on Capillary Flow Porometry, the simple principle of gas pressure to force a wetting liquid out of through pores in a fabric media. The pressure at which pores empty is inversely proportional to the pore size, larger pores require a lower pressure than do smaller pores. The resulting volumetric flow of gas through emptied pores is also measured. Pore size is then calculated using the “Young-Laplace equation”.
3 - WHO USE MICROPORE ANALYZER?+
The Micropore Analyzer instrument is commonly used by Researchers, Scientists, and Medical Professionals seeking precise and delicate pore size measurements at the microscale.
4 - WHAT ARE THE BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR MICROPORE ANALYZER USAGE?+
The basic requirements for Micropore Analyzer usage include a stable power supply to ensure uninterrupted operation and an environment with controlled temperature and humidity levels to maintain instrument performance and accuracy.
5 - HOW WILL MICROPORE ANALYZER BENEFIT MY COMPANY?+
Micropore Analyzer can benefit companies by providing valuable insights into the pore size of fabric materials, aiding in quality control, product development, and optimization of manufacturing processes. It enables companies to make informed decisions, enhance product performance, and meet specific customer requirements more effectively.
